What was done for the past 62 years???????

Its our 63rd Independence Day. Our country had seen many things both positive as well as negative in the past 62 years. But one must think that in these past 62 years did our leaders really tried to achieve the goals that were set while framing the Constitution.

One of the main goals is "Social Equality". The Indian constitution prohibits discrimination on the grounds of religion, race, caste, sex and place of birth. While providing equal opportunities for all citizens the constitution contains special clause 'for the advancement of any socially and educationally backward classes. It was clearly stated at the time of framing Constitution that these reservations must be removed after 10 years. But due to damn vote-bank politics by our Politicians these reservations are being extended after every 10 years. We should just think once again , are reservations really being helpful for the backward classes. Clearly the answer is 'No'.
Reservations are being helpful but not for those to whom these were meant. There is a clear change in the scenario of the social status of backward classes. The persons who really need reservations are still in dark. People of backward classes with good social status are using these reservations. They are the one who are developing. I am totally against these reservations. Recently Supreme Court of India gave verdict that 'student belonging to SC, ST cannot be debarred from IITs based on low grades'. If IITs start producing such quality engineers i can't imagine what will happen to our country. If at all government really want to help these people provide reservations based on their 'Economical Position'. Many children are being deprived of proper education because of their economic condition. These are the persons who need support from government. Stop worrying about your votes, nothing is more important than nation's development.

Next major goal is "Eradication of Poverty". In our country "Rich are getting richer and poor are getting poorer". I demand all the politicians, enough with your greed for money use it for the development of the people not for your 'self development'. It is not enough giving slogans 'India shining' , 'Aam Adami budget' etc. What we want are actions. Serve the people heartfully.

"Serve the nation, serve mankind"
